Ladies give out golf awards

Oct. 2 was the final day of the Mirror Lake ladies golf season and the awards luncheon was held.

Awards were presented as follows:

• Ace of the Month: May - Ruth Ann Wilson; June – Linda Bogdan; July – Therese Helmer; August – Donna Irons.

• Therese Helmer was named Ace of Aces.

• Club champions were Donna Irons for low gross and Ada Gardiner for low net.

• Ringer board – improved score were: Gayle Lyons and Elizabeth Thiel.

• Low gross from the ringer board: Flight A, Karen English; Flight B, Etta Mae Schnuerle.

• Low net from the ringer board: Flight A, Therese Helmer; Flight B, Linda Rupley.

• Best putter for the season was a four way tie with an average of 17: Louise Carter; Karen English; Linda Bogdan; Etta Mae Schnuerle.

• Closest to par: Karen English 38.25.

• Chip-in awards: Blanche Studer (two); Gayle Lyons (two); Etta Mae Schnuerle (two); Ada Gardiner (two); Therese Helmer (two); Louise Carter (one); Karen English (one); Jeanie Richards (one); Ruth Ann Wilson (one); Linda Bogdan (one); Linda Rupley (one).

• Blanche Studer earned the best attendance award.
