Floyd Evart Sage

Floyd Evart Sage was born to Truman and Lena (Hollar) Sage on Feb. 6, 1924, in Naples, Idaho. He passed away on Aug. 23, 2013. He was proud of being a second lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps which was an important chapter in his life.

He returned to civilian life, married the love of his life, Margaret Lewis and completed his teaching administration degree at the University of Idaho.

He then took a position in Clark Fork, Idaho, as a superintendent of schools followed by a position as high school principal in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Ambition and encouragement from Margaret led him to completing a physics and mathematics degree at the University of Idaho.

He then took a position at Everett Community College from which he retired 25 years later.

During that time he influenced and shaped many students lives in his own way.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margaret; brother, Bill Sage; daughter, Barbara (Walt); grandson, Wokker; son, Bill (Shelley); his grandchildren, David, Jonathan, Carolyn and Michael; son, Bob (Roxanne); and grand-children, Kirsten and Jacob; and many special friends.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
