EAA breakfast Sat., Sept. 28

| September 20, 2013 9:00 AM

The local Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA Chapter 757) will hold the last of the summer pancake breakfasts at the airport on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 8 to 10:30 a.m.

The proceeds from the breakfasts go to support flight training scholarships.

Four scholarships were awarded last year that help the student pilots get through ground school and solo flight training. Several of the scholarship recipients have gone on to private and commercial licenses.

This last breakfast for the year will feature displays of experimental aircraft and local area car club cars. Car clubs from the region are invited to attend as well as all experimental aircraft owners and the general public.

The breakfast features pancakes, sausages, eggs, and beverages for the suggested donation of $5 per person.

The breakfast last month featured the Boeing 40C, the first Boeing airliner built in 1928 and the only example yet in existence. The experimental aircraft and classic cars this month will be equally interesting.
