Build the new library; community needs it

| April 11, 2014 9:00 AM

When I picked up the Herald several weeks ago I saw what the new Library could look like and was thrilled. In the same breath I was disappointed knowing that our community would not look at it as quantum growth.

I was disappointed that a institution of learning, free to all would have to struggle just to birth support. In the following weeks, I have read some interesting letters that express more then anything fear of change.

Look back over time to the great city of Alexandria, built by Alexander the Great in 331 B.C.

After it’s destruction it was not the ocean villas, cultural diversity or even the great light house that was missed the most. To this day, the world talks about and mourns the Great Library. Full of information beyond imagination, leaders from around the world would come to study and conquer knowledge.
