Lois F. Johnson, 70

Lois F. Johnson, 70, passed away on March 20, 2014, in Davenport, Wash. Her home was in Creston, Wash. A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Swedish Cemetery, Davenport, Wash., with Pastor Guy Schmielau and Don Johnson, officiating. A potluck lunch will be provided after the ceremony.

Lois was born on Oct. 19, 1944, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, to Everett and Laura Brubaker. She obtained higher education at Whitworth University where she was awarded her nursing degree. She married Charles Johnson on March 25, 1967 in Bonners Ferry. They had three sons, Brion, Dale and Erik.

Her hobbies included baking, cooking, camping and the outdoors, flowers, cats, birds, crafts and decorating her house for others to enjoy, sewing and making blankets for everyone in the family. Watching her grandchildren’s events and spending time with family is what gave her the most joy. Lois was a member of the Creston Christian Church, Women’s Coffee Klatch, Creston Community Club, Creston Civic Club and the Red Hat Society.

Lois is survived by her husband of 47 years, Charles Johnson; their three sons; Brion (and Melissa), Dale (and Charlene), and Erik Johnson; seven grandchildren; and sister, Ila Hogue; plus numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Betty Janni.
