X country practice Aug. 15

BONNERS FERRY Summer seems like it just began, but already the time has come to look forward to the fall running season.

The Badger cross country staff would like to remind high school runners that first practice will be held Friday, Aug. 15 at 4 p.m.

Plan on parking in the student lot and having our information session in Coach Warner’s classroom at the high school. Afterwards we will hold our first practice, so bring appropriate running attire and water!

Free physicals will be available Aug. 5 from 5-7 p.m. at the hospital. Physicals are required for freshmen, juniors, and anybody new to sports.

Last season both the boys and girls cross country teams earned trips to state by claiming second place finishes at the Idaho 3A District 1 Championships.

Both teams expect to be competitive again this year, but the girls are hopeful for more membership. Currently, only six girls are on the official roster, seven make a full team.
