Charles Eutimio Tapia of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, passed away on Aug. 11, 2014.

He was born on Jan. 30, 1956, in Oakland, Calif., to Valerio and Maria Tapia.

After attending school in Pleasant Hill he learned his trade as an auto painter, in which he was very talented.

His love of the outdoors brought him to Idaho where he worked at the local mill. He enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, riding his motorcycle, music, barbecues, traveling, and so much more.

He loved being with family and friends and spent every opportunity he could with them.

He was loyal, loving, stubborn, protective, funny, and a great storyteller. He adored his grandchildren and bragged about them to anyone who’d listen.

Charles leaves behind so many loved ones from near and far and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his long-time love Carole, daughter Tawnya (Brian), son Charles (Kari), daughter Jamie, son Curtis, stepdaughters Toni, Janelle (Nick), and Jessica (Beau), sisters Cyndie (Jim), and Sheila, nieces and nephews Joseph, Anthony, Amanda, Alysha, and Brittney; 12 grandchildren, and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Joseph (Jean), and sister Donita.
