Man killed in rollover

BONNERS FERRY — A single-car rollover crash took the life of 61 year old Bonners Ferry resident Ronny R. Dowell., 61, on Aug. 17.

According to Idaho State Police reports, Dowell was traveling northbound on U.S. 95 in a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am when he left the roadway on the right hand shoulder. The vehicle overturned several times, ejecting Dowell.

The crash occurred at milepost 511.6 around 8:34 p.m. Sunday.

According to the report, Dowell was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The Boundary County Sheriff’s Department assisted on scene and the victim was taken to the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home.
