New fire station set for Paradise Valley

BONNERS FERRY — The Paradise Valley Fire District Commissioners voted recently to fund a new fire station to be located on the corner of Cabinet Mountain Road and Pleasant Valley Road.

The land for the new station was donated by Ed and Ellen Atkins.

The new station will serve the Pleasant Valley area, U.S. 95 and the area north of the station up to Bonners Ferry City limits.

The new location will greatly improve response times to these areas.

Preliminary site work to begin this month with construction scheduled to start this fall.

For information concerning bids, contact Chief Ladely at 267-7909 or Commissioner Rodney Ferreira at 610-3502 to obtain the information packet. Sealed bids must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Sept. 5. Bids will be opened at 7 p.m. on Sept. 9 at the Paradise Valley main station.
