Shop Local a success

BONNERS FERRY — Bonners Ferry merchants were thrilled by the support shown by the local community as many Boundary County residents made the commitment to ‘shop local’ November 28 and 29.

“What’s so awesome about this Black Friday and Shop Small Saturday event is that merchants overwhelmingly felt the surge of shoppers in their stores as a result of their great sales they made available to shoppers,” said Carolyn Testa, who helped organize punch cards and coupons for 30 local businesses and organizations.

“Shoppers reaped the benefits of these great sales,” Testa said. “Now, there are 10 lucky winners who get to spend $50 at any of the merchants on the list.”

Following are the 10 winners of $50 each holiday spending bucks. These winners can spend their $50 at any of the participating merchants on the punch card list.
