BONNERS FERRY — The Lady Badgers beat the Coeur d’ Alene Charter Academy Lady Panthers 61-30 in a dominating home performance Tuesday, Dec. 2.

The Lady Badgers pulled out an early lead on the Lady Panthers, and were in double digits before Cd”A Charter scored their second basket of the game.

Although the Lady Panthers had an obvious height advantage on the Lady Badgers, Bonners Ferry’s girls played a more aggressive, tenacious game that left the Lady Panthers struggling to catch up the entire game.

Senior guard Jasmine Hill lead scorers with 18 points and 5 assists in the game. Senior wing/post Savannah Woods had 15 points 6 rebounds and senior guard Abby Skeen finished with 9 points and 5 assists.

“We had a strong team effort,” said coach Chris Chatburn. “All nine girls contributed to the victory.”

Coeur d’ Alene Charter didn’t field a varsity boys team for the series, so the Badger JV boys played after the girls game Tuesday. The JV team lost a tight battle 46-49.

The varsity boys will play their first home game Saturday, Dec. 6 in quadruple-header against Lakeland. The girls JV plays at 1 p.m., boys JV plays at 2:45, the varsity girls game starts at 4:30 p.m. and the boys varsity plays at 6:15 p.m.
