People in community fortunate for support
As I returned home this weekend from seeing the Shutes family camped out at KMC for their Kelsey, I thought about the promise so many of us neighbors made to George and Kari. They are so thankful for all the support and with tear-filled eyes, they expressed they wanted “just that” over and over again. They asked each of us to thank each person we knew that has been involved for all their prayers and helpfulness in so many areas.
As we were talking, several of us that were there shared with them how we know firsthand what an amazing bunch of people we are blessed to know and live by.
When you are on the giving end you feel small, and that your part is insignificant. But when you are the receiver, the difference is overwhelming. It is in that experience you realize more than ever what an awesome community you are a part of. It is so neat to hear about the positive unselfish acts of kindness and support from the people of our town. So many are hidden in the background, giving quietly. The only one that knows is them and God.
Often I have wondered how many people know how lucky we all are.
