James Jay Sanborn, 20

James Jay Sanborn, 20, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, passed away New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, 2014.

Services will be held for James on Friday, Jan. 10 at the Springs of Living WaterFree Methodist Church beginning at 11 a.m. with a gathering to follow.

James was born on Sept. 28, 1993, in Libby, Mont.

He lived with foster families until he was happily adopted by the Sanborns in 2002 at 8 years old.

He is survived by his father, John Sanborn and wife Liz Bigsby; mother, Jamie Weisleder and husband, Peter Weisleder; brothers Jacob, Joseph and Troy Sanborn and Andy Taylor Thompson; sisters Ann Thompson and Sarah Metz.; grandparents Harley (Hod) and Virginia Sanborn; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

James attended Naples Elementary School then BFHS and on to Riverside High School, where he had a 3.0 grade point average. He wanted to pursue an education in computer technology.

His teachers were very fond of him.

His fortitude and helpful personality was evident and genuine to all who knew him.

James will be forever missed and forever loved by his family and by numerous friends.
