Shannan Jo Boyenger-Roldan

Shannan Jo Boyenger-Roldan died at Hospice House of North Idaho in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on May 23, 2014.

A memorial service will be held Friday August 1 at 11 a.m. at the Kuna Cemetery, 1200 W. Boise Street, Kuna, Idaho, where Shannan will be placed with her Tucker grandparents, and where her greatand great-great grandparents are buried.

Shannan was born October 13, 1961 in Boise, Idaho, to Wesley Ervin and Donna Jo (Tucker) Boyenger. She lived in Boise, Hells Canyon Dam, Oregon, Grand Coulee Dam and the Tn-Cities, Washington, before coming to Bonners Ferry in 1977, where she attended schools and later North Idaho College in Coeurd’Alene.

She married Paul Cooper, son of Dennis and Elaine (Melior) Cooper in 1978 in Bonners Ferry. They resided in Spokane, Washington and Houston, Texas. They were later divorced.

Shannan married William Brittain Ill in Houston, where their daughter Brittany Fallan was born in 1985. Aftertheirdivorçe, she moved to Spokane and received Dental Assistant Certification at Trend College.

In 1994, a daughter, HaileyJo, was born to Shannan and Harold Bryant Amburn in Sandpoint, Idaho. They then moved to Portland, Oregon.

Shannan returned to North Idaho, marrying Alfredo Roldan in Coeur d’Alene in 2001. In 2004, he died in Kellogg, where they lived.

Shannan was an excellent waitress, never failing to obtain employment, pleasing her customers, and receiving large tips wherever she worked.

Later she became disabled by mental illness and died from a rapidly progressive neurological disorder. She spent the last year in and out of hospitals, and Lark’s Haven Assisted Living in Hayden, Idaho.

Shannan was preceded in death by her husband, Aifredo Roldan; father, Wesley Ervin Boyenger; grandparents, Burton Wesley Boyenger, Joseph and Eva (Reber) Hines, and Elmer and Nellie (Beckdolt) Tucker.

She is survived by her daughters, Brittany Fallan Bnittain, Las Vegas, Nevada, Hailey Jo Mastre, Worland, Wyoming; mother and stepfather, Donna Jo (Dennis) Dirks, Bonners Ferry, Stepparents, Marilyn (Jim Pamplin) Boyengen, Bonners Ferry; sister, Jody Rae (Paul) Van Ellen, Pinedale, Wyoming; half-brother, Lesmes Richard Boyenger, Guayambo, Puerto Rico; and half-sisters, MaryAnn (Aerial Raices) Boyenger, Carolina, Puerto, Rico, Laurie Burrus, Benton City, Washington, and Darcie (Doug) Elliston, Bonners Ferry; three grandsons; and dear friend, Jason States, Boise, Idaho.
