Francis (Frank) S. Lippy, 91

Francis (Frank) S. Lippy, 91, died peacefully at home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho on May 15, 2014, from Alzheimer’s.

Frank born Sept 4, 1922, in Baltimore, Md. to Lillian (Johns) and Francis S. Lippy.

Honorably served his country in WW II from 1942-1945 first in the 302nd Infantry 94th Division then in the 327th Bomb Squadron 92nd Bomb GP as a bombardier in the Army Air Corps serving in the European Theater. He was discharged on Oct. 27, 1945, at the rank of staff sergeant.

He resided after the war in Towson, Md., with his devoted wife Vena (Speaks) Lippy (deceased in 2008). Frank enjoyed his work as a well-respected realtor with Russell T. Baker Co. then Coldwell Banker.

He later moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho, in 2010 to live with his daughter Elaine Wheatley, her husband Craig and grandchildren Tyler Wheatley with wife Rachel and Travis Wheatley.

Survivors also include: son Francis (Frank) Lippy of Parkville, Md: grandchildren, Matthew Lippy, Sean Lippy, Michael Ostendorf, Anna Ostendorf: daughter-in-laws, Andrea Sweet, Wilma Edelenbos as well as many sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Frank was also preceded in death in May by his lifelong friend Ralph Miller.

He will be missed and never forgotten.
