Shannan Joy Boyenger Roldan, 52

Shannan Jo Boyenger Roldan, 52, passed away at Hospice of North Idaho in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on May 23, 2014.

Services will be held at a later date in Kuna, Idaho, where she will be placed with her Tucker grandparents.

Shannan was born on Oct. 13, 1961, in Boise, Idaho, to Wesley Ervin and Donna Jo (Tucker) Boyenger and died May 23, 2014, in Hayden, Idaho, at Hospice House of North Idaho.

Shannan lived in Boise, Hells Canyon Dam, Ore., Grand Coulee Dam and the Tri-Cities, Wash., before coming to Bonners Ferry in 1977, where she attended school and later attended North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

She married Paul Cooper, son of Dennis and Elaine (Melior) Cooper in 1978 in Bonners Ferry. They lived in Spokane, Wash., and Houston, Texas. They were later divorced.

Shannan married William Brittan III in Houston. Their daughter, Brittany Fallan, was born in 1985. After their divorce she moved to Spokane, Wash., and received a dental assistant certification at Trend College.

In 1994 a daughter, Hailey Jo, was born to Shannan and Harold Bryant Amborn in Sandpoint, Idaho. They then moved to Portland, Ore.

Shannan returned to North Idaho, marrying Alfredo Roldan in Coeur d’Alene in 2001. He died in 2004 in Kellogg where they lived.

Shannan was an excellent waitress, never failing to obtain employment, pleasing her customers, and receiving large tips wherever she worked.

Later she became disabled by mental illness and died from a rapidly progressive and ultimately fatal neurological disorder. She spent the last year in and out of hospitals and Lark Haven Assisted Living.

Shannan was preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo Roldan; father, Wesley Ervin Boyenger; and her grandparents Burton Wesley Boyenger, Joseph and Eva (Reber) Hines, Elmer and Nellie (Beckdolt) Tucker.

She is survived by her daughters: Brittany Fallan Brittain of Las Vegas, Nev.; Hailey Jo Mastre, Worland, Wyo.; her mother Donna Jo (Dennis) Dirks of Bonners Ferry; stepmother Marilyn (Jim Pamplin) Boyenger and husband Jim of Bonners Ferry; sister Jody Rae (Paul) Van Etten, Pinedale, Wyo.; brother Lesmes Richard Boyenger, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico; half sisters Mary Ann (Aerial Raices) Boyenger of Caroline, Puerto Rico, Laurie Burrus of Benton City, Wash., and Darcie (Doug) Elliston of Bonners Ferry; and three grandsons.
