Radene Eloise Griffith, 64

Radene Eloise Griffith, 64, passed away at her home on June 20, 2014.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014, at 6 p.m. at the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Radene was born on Sept. 4, 1949, to Raymond and Florence (Post) Chaney in Mapleton, Kan. She was the oldest sister to Raymond, James, David, Charles, Frank, Robert, Stephen, Joseph, Timothy and Teresa.

She joined the Air Force on Sept. 4, 1967 in Spokane, Wash. She was honorably discharged due to pregnancy in 1968. While serving at Fairchild Air Force Base she met the love of her life Michael Clarkson. They were married on Aug. 16, 1969.  Michael passed away from cancer in June 1983. 

She moved with her three children Lora, Stephanie and Michael, Jr. to Indiana. It was there she married Charles Griffith in 1985 and they were later divorced in 2002. Radene subsequently ended up in Bonners Ferry, ID after 1996. 

Radene peacefully took her last breath on June 20, 2014 after losing her three-year battle with breast cancer.

She leaves behind her favorite oldest daughter, Lora Couto and husband Thad; her favorite baby girl, Stephanie Drake and husband Troy; and her favorite baby boy, Michael Clarkson, Jr. and wife Renee; grandchildren: Chelsea Rose, Jamie Drake, Meghan Rose, Michael Clarkson III, Brooke Rose; Hailie Drake, Andrew Clarkson and Iris Couto, and her great-grand daughters: Savanna, Torrie and Ellee.

She was preceded in death by her father, stepmother and her sister.

She taught her family all how to love, be strong and especially to never give up. Even though her body left them, she will continue to live on through all through all that knew her and loved her.
