According to County Clerk Glenda Poston, voters don’t have to be gone on voting day, May 20 in order to request an absentee ballot.
Anyone wanting to vote early, or who can’t make it to town on voting day can request an absentee ballot at the clerk’s office in the Boundary County courthouse.
Around 400 absentee ballots have been turned in so far, Poston says.
She asks that voters seal the ballot in an envelope. The process takes less than ten minutes.
Poston would also like to remind voters and candidates who have requested absentee ballots in the mail that a separate request must be made for November elections.
