Naples area featured in 2014 Boundary Farm Tour

BONNERS FERRY — The Boundary Soil Conservation District and Farm Bureau are once again offering their free community farm tour.

This year’s event will feature a look at Naples.

The tour will start at Idaho Granite in Highland Flats. Next, participants will look at a unique barn and cattle feeding operation and, if weather permits, will look at a streambank project completed a few years ago to see how it is holding up.

A trip through the nostalgic Naples Store and Naples Inn will surprise many and lunch with a 75th birthday celebration for Farm Bureau and a forestry project will finish up the day.

Meet at the Boundary County Fairgrounds at 8 a.m. on Friday, May 16. The group should return by four if not sooner. Hope to see you there. RSVP at 267-3340x107 or 267-5502.
