Hiatt named Community Star

BONNERS FERRY — Each fall, around October, Panhandle State Bank chooses a worthy community-minded individual from nominees to receive the Community Star Award. Linda Hiatt, the 2013 winner, spent the winter in warmer climates so on April 29, family and friends gathered at the Bonners Ferry branch of PSB to celebrate the award.

Hiatt is a member of the Fry Healthcare Foundation and chose that group to receive a $1,000 donation from PSB as a part of the award. Abby Dinning wrote the winning nomination for Hiatt, saying,

“Linda is community minded, and completely devoted to her family.”

Hiatt was happy to receive the award, but almost embarrassed by all the attention, including no less than three bouquets of flowers.
