City revs up Jamboree
BONNERS FERRY — The Rod Benders Car Club of Bonners Ferry will hold their 14th annual Borders Three Jamboree Car Show in downtown Bonners Ferry from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 7.
This is the largest downtown Bonners Ferry event of the year. Check-in starts at 8 a.m. for display cars.
The event is co-hosted by Bonners Ferry businesses and Blue Sky Broadcasting. A Friday evening community fun cruise kicks off the weekend. The fun cruise starts at 5 p.m. at the city parking lot. All are invited to participate (classic car not required).
The Saturday car show will feature trophies and prizes, oldies music, and hundreds of great old cars to see, wish-over, and remind you of past good times. Downtown stores and businesses will be open to serve you on show day with great products and food.
Last year more than 200 classic cars were displayed and more are expected this year.
This year 25-plus trophies will be awarded.
The public will vote for several of the awards categories while display car owners will vote for the Top 12 and Best of Show. Trophies will be awarded starting at 3 p.m. in a drive-by ceremony so that everyone can see the winners and congratulate the car owners.
After the car show, lawnmower races sponsored by Redneck Racing and the Boundary County Fair Board will be held at the fair grounds outdoor arena starting at 6 p.m. This is the greatest spectacle in affordable racing, fast and furious.
Look or display your car, special interest vehicle or motorcycle during the day then enjoy racing in the evening. These are some of the many ways to have fun in beautiful Boundary County.
