Care-N-Share Christmas marks 32nd year services

| November 7, 2014 8:00 AM

BONNERS FERRY — Care-N-Share was started 32 years ago to help the children of Bonners Ferry at Christmas time.

The program has grown to not only help children at Christmas but throughout the year. Care-N-Share gives children toys and clothing, and everything stays local.

Linda Lederhos, the program director, says the longevity of the program is due to dedicated board members Sharon and Angie Schnuerle, Ann Tompkins, her family and all the other helpers.

This year, with the current economy, Linda is projecting that the need will be just as much as years before. Care-N-Share applications will be available at the Panhandle Health Clinic, and at the Bamboo Room Craft Store north of Bonners Ferry. If you are in need or know someone that is, please feel free to call or stop by and pick up an application. They are due by Nov. 28.

If you can help out by sponsoring a family or a child please call 290-1483. If you want to make a donation you can mail your donation to Care-N-Share, 515014 Highway 95, Bonners Ferry, Idaho 83805 or drop it off at Wells Fargo bank.

Care-N-Share is also in need of new and good used toys. They can be dropped off at Wells Fargo or Mountain West banks.
