Mary Malone

Mary Malone passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at 94.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, Nov. 24 at 10 a.m. at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home.

Mrs. Malone was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. She graduated from Stivers High School, then attended Sinclair College and the University of Dayton. She then was employed by the United States Air Force Intelligence Department at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton.

In 1950 she married Charles “Chuck” Malone and they settled in Bonners Ferry, Idaho in 1962 where they owned and operated the Malone Funeral Home. Also, she worked as a secretary for the University of Idaho, the Pace-Kerby Agency and the U.S. Forest Service.

She held a lifetime membership in Beta Sigma Phi and was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club while living in Orofino. When her children were young, she was involved in Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and 4-H.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1991. Survivors include one daughter, Pamela, and two sons, Michael and Lindley; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
