The first-seeded Bonners Ferry volleyball team (8-0, 6-0 league) faced third-seed Timberlake (4-10, 1-4 league) for the championship match at home Wednesday night after defeating fourth seed Priest River in three matches, 25-23, 25-14 and 25-20 on Oct. 21.

The Bonners Ferry gym was packed with rowdy Badger fans, including BFHS soccer players who had already secured their spot in the state tournament.

Power hitter Mackenzie Mendenhall had 6 kills in the game and six-foot tall Amanda Wilson dominated the net with 4 blocks.

The third-seeded Tigers beat the second-seeded Kellogg Wildcats 25-23,15-25, 25-17, 25-16 earlier Oct. 21 to advance to the championship round against the Badgers. Kellogg (9-8) faced Priest River (9-9) in a loser-out match earlier in the evening Wednesday night.
