Scenic, memorable Kootenai River Ride is Saturday

BONNERS FERRY —  Rotary Club of Bonners Ferry is hosating the 12th annual Kootenai River Ride Saturday, Sept. 13.

Riders will start at the Boundary County Fairgrounds and can choose a 100k, 60K or 16K course that takes riders along the Kootenai, through downtown Bonners Ferry and along the wildlife refuge, and to the top of Katka for those entering the longest distance ride.

Each rider is responsible for the mechanical condition of his/her bicycle. It is advised that each rider carry a spare tube, patch kit, and bike pump.

All riders are required to wear an ANSI approved bike helmet while riding.

All paid riders will receive a deluxe collectors long sleeve tee-shirt with registration, along with a route map and riders bag of gifts. Bike service is available by Far North Outfitters. Healthy snacks and beverages are available at all stops, and at the finish riders can enjoy a great potato bake feed.

Start times are 8 a.m. for the 100k, 9 a.m. for the 60k and 9:30 a.m. for the 16k. Registration is at www.kootenairiverride.com
