BONNERS FERRY — Two recovered fumbles and two blocked punts helped the Badgers score 35 unanswered points in the second quarter and overwhelm the Timberwolves in an afternoon game at home Saturday, Sept. 20.

Quarterback Kaleb Stockton had two touchdown runs and a TD pass to Caleb Harrington for Bonners Ferry, while running back Nick Sabin also ran for two scores.

Jeremiah Varelman finished the scoring with a kickoff return TD in the second half, which was played with a running clock.

Lake City, which fielded a mix of reserves from its varsity team and members of the sophomore team, was led by Cody Kielblock’s two touchdown runs.

Bonners Ferry travels to St. Maries on Friday to take on the Lumberjacks at 7 p.m. before starting the IML season Oct. 10 at Kellogg.
