Jack Fremont Snodgrass

Jack Fremont Snodgrass was born on June 28, 1937, in Copeland, Idaho, to Mont and Mary Snodgrass. Jack passed away at Hospice of North Idaho on March 22, 2015.

A service will not be held, but there will be a Celebration of Life for Jack at the Bonners Ferry Eagles on Friday, April 17 from 2 to 5 p,m. Everyone is welcome.

Jack attended school in Boundary County. He served in the Army from1957-1960. He served overseas in an artillery unit in Germany.

Jack married Etta Tanner on April 19, 1969. They lived in Everett, Wash., where Jack worked as an equipment operator for King County until they retired and moved to Bonners Ferry in 2000.

Jack enjoyed being an Eagle’s member, gardening, taking care of his chickens and working in his shop. He enjoyed fishing, grouse hunting, and was an avid Seahawks fan.

Jack is survived by two sisters, Frances Dunn and Vicki McNally; one

stepdaughter, Rita Tanner; and three stepsons, Quinton, Steve and Tim Tanner; several step-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; great- nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Etta; both parents; three sisters, Jerre Stemmene, Ann Galbraith and Shirley Pedey.

In lieu of flowers, send donations to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden, Idaho 83835 and write on the check that it is for Hospice House on Prairie Avenue in memory of Jack Snodgrass.
