Catherine Cordilla Tritt Nagel

| April 10, 2015 8:14 AM

Catherine Cordilla Tritt Nagel, 91, went to be with her heavenly father on April 5, 2015.

Graveside services will be Friday, April 10 at 11 a.m. at Grandview Cemetery with a luncheon reception following at Grace Bible Fellowship. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home.

Kate was born in Baker, Colo., to George and Ethel Williams on May 24 1923.

She was famous for her homemade bread and candy.

She loved to be outdoors working in her garden and nurturing her flowers; if she couldn’t grow it no one could.  Kate was a major rock hound and would always bring rocks home when out huckleberry picking. Another one of her loves was going for rides and looking for wild life and Christmas lights and collecting porcelain dolls.

Kate loved to swim was as difficult as a child to get out of the water as she could tread water for hours.

She had nine grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She had a special love for each and every one of them.

She leaves behind her five children Laura, Philip, William, Bob and his wife Mary Ann and Carole and a sister Midge. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Tritt and Channing Nagel, son-in-law Charles Tapia and Grandson Curtis Clay Tapia, sisters Pat, Fran and Brothers Jim and Jess. Now we know she had joined her beloved grandson Curtis in our heavenly father’s arms.

Her family sincerely thanks all those in the extended care who so lovingly took care of her in her final days.

They also extend our thanks to Pastor Martin and those who helped them navigate through this trying time and Melinda Fox who organized their wonderful meal.
