Jack W. Stallings, 92

Jack W. Stallings, 92, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 11 at his home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Boundary Baptist Church; interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery. He was born in Atwood, Okla., on Nov. 8, 1922, to Hiram and Joan (South) Stallings.

Jack was a mechanic by choice because, in his words “he liked to make things run”; this he passed on to his sons.

He and his wife Evelyn were married July 10, 1943.

They came to north Idaho in 1971 where he was a heavy duty mechanic for Idaho Forests for many years until his retirement at 65.

He loved the great Northwest outdoors of northern Idaho, including the magnificent scenery and wildlife.

Surviving him are his wife of 71 years, Evelyn; his sons Roy and wife Susan; Dave and Dan and his wife Marian; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
