• Dan Hooper will be at the Kootenai Wildlife Refuge doing a hands-on demonstration on how to cape a deer or elk. Hooper will be answering questions and educate on taxidermy and how to properly care for mounts and hides at the Refuge’s Education Barn at 7 p.m.

THURSDAY, AUG. 27

• The Idaho Conservation League, Idaho Panhandle National Forests, and Idaho Fish and Game are teaming up to promote awareness about grizzly bears in North Idaho and share general conflict avoidance techniques. “Be Bear Aware” is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 27 at the Bonners Ferry Ranger Station.
