Donald J. Pease, 61, passed away suddenly on Jan. 24, 2015 in Pocatello, Idaho, from natural causes. He was born on May 19, 1953, in Tacoma, Wash.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Club House at Canyon Terrace, 9314 Canyon Road East, Puyallup, Washington, followed by a light luncheon.

Don grew up in south Tacoma, attending Arlington Elementary, Gray Junior High and graduating from Mount Tahoma High School in 1971.

Don loved sports and played football, basketball and baseball at the South End Boys Club, making many lifelong friends. He was an avid Seahawks fan.

Don took great pride working in the cedar business during his years in Montana and Idaho. He loved to fish and hunt during this time as well. Don was born in the city, but his heart always belonged to the country. He used to say, “If I could live any place on earth, I would live in Montana.”

Don’s greatest joy was in his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his son Christian (Leslie) Pease, daughters Autumn (Erik) Erickson and Amy Leach, and his grandchildren: Carmen, Gabrielle, Hannah, Caleb, Dillon, Meghan, Aliegha, Thomas, Korey, John and Emma. He is also survived by his parents, Art and Deloris Pease, sister Virginia (Bruce) Dees, and brother Bill (Billy), nieces Erin and Lauren Dees, and many cousins and friends.

Don was a gentle soul, loved his family, all children, animals and good music.

Memorials can be sent to The Humane Society.
