Flu leads to visitor restrictions at ECF
BONNERS FERRY — Two confirmed cases of influenza at Boundary Community Hospital’s Extended Care Facility have led to the implementation of visitor restriction at the facility, according to the Marcia Morman, the hospital's director of marketing and communications.
The restriction is in place to protect the facility residents and the general public from influenza.
The two residents with the flu are in isolation and all safety protocol is being followed. The influenza is being tested to identify the particular strain.
The public is requested not to visit the Extended Care Facility at this time.
Visitation restrictions do not apply to Acute Care, the Emergency Room or the Outpatient Clinic.
Boundary Community Hospital will keep the public informed as more information is available.
