Badger wrestling competes in Priest River Invitational

The Bonners Ferry High school Wrestling team traveled to Priest River to compete in their Invitational Tournament Jan. 24. Out of the ten teams invited, only nine competed. Kettle Falls’ bus broke down enroute.
Bonners Ferry took 15 wrestlers to the tourney but only three made it to the championship round. Tyler Beazer at 98 lbs, Matt Tucker at 145 lbs. and Jacob Perkins at 152 lbs. All three wrestlers came in second place for their weight classes and the team as a whole came in tied for fifth.
The next competition for Badger wrestlers will be in Kellogg Tuesday night followed by a tournament in Coeur d’Alene on Friday and Saturday. The team will return home to host their own tournament Feb. 6 and 7.
