Free sports physicals July 28

| July 16, 2015 10:50 AM

BONNERS FERRY — Boundary Community Hospital’s Medical Staff and hospital employees are volunteering their time so youth in Boundary County participating in sports receive a free physical.

The Sports Clinic is from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28.

Each year physicals are required for students who are entering grades 7, 9, 11, and are participating in any sports including cheerleading and dance.

A physical is also required of those new to the sports programs, which includes who did not have a physical last year no matter what the current grade. The physical must occur before the first practice starts.

This is a one-night only event. Students are encouraged to attend. Physicals are on a first-come, first-served basis. You need not arrive at 5 p.m.

Students will travel through six testing stations and finish with a quick visit with the doctor. The visit with the doctor is private behind closed doors and the weight scales are in a secluded place.

The Sports Physical Clinic is in the Outpatient Clinic area of Boundary Community Hospital. Come in “the back way” to the hospital and enter through the double doors.

Parents, and or guardians, must be present with the student for registration at the Sports Clinic. If you have a question, please call Bonners Ferry High School, (208) 267-3149 or Marcia Morman, Boundary Community Hospital’s director of marketing and community relations, (208) 267-6912.
