Shari Lynne (Urso) Hirsh, 54

On Thursday, March 5, 2015, Shari Lynne (Urso) Hirsh, 54, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, after losing her battle with cancer.

Shari fought until the end and always trusted in Jesus. Shari passed away peacefully at her home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Services will be Saturday, March 14 at noon at the Bridgeway Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery with reception following at the church.

Shari was born on Oct. 11, 1960, to Ned Urso and Bonnie Jean Urso (deceased) in Willow Glen, Calif. Shari was the oldest of three daughters.

Shari spent her childhood in California with the exception of one year in Malin, Ore. Most of Shari’s adult life was spent in California, before moving to Montana for a year, and then finally settling down in Idaho in 1995.

Shari married the love of her life, Doug Hirsh on Nov. 15, 2003.

Shari was someone you always knew you could count on, she would be there no matter what was happening. She had a heart of gold and showed it not only with her family and friends, but also with her love of animals.

Shari loved talking to people (especially on the phone) and she made friends wherever she went. Shari loved cooking, music, Christmas and peppermint mochas.

She loved shopping (especially for someone else), but, she loved spending time with her grandchildren most of all. Shari spent much of her time with her grandchildren at her home, it always brought such joy to her heart watching her grandchildren dance and sing.

Shari was also there to help with Boy Scouts, wrestling, swim lessons, volunteering at school and anything else her grandchildren were involved in. Shari was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, daughter, granddaughter, niece, aunt and friend.

Shari is preceded in death by her mother Bonnie Jean Urso (Thomson), her grandfathers, Joseph Urso and Robert Thomson; her grandmother, Belle Thomson; and her uncle, Tom Thomson.

Shari is survived by her husband Douglas Hirsh; her two sons Christopher Langan (Anneli) and Joshua Langan; grandmother Mary Urso; father Ned Urso; stepmother Genny Urso; sisters Lori Urso-Sullivan and Denise Lamascus; step-siblings Scott Corl, Brad Corl and Stephanie Folline; stepchildren Dougie, Patty and Steven Hirsh; and her grandchildren: J.C., Chloe, Andy, Brandon Langan, Catrina Hirsh, Gates and Mirranda Topping, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
