Heather Scott Helps Many Constituents

As a longtime resident of Priest River I continue to be impressed by our state

representative, Heather Scott.  This lady is not only tireless in her efforts when in the

Legislature in Boise, but she devotes pretty much all of her time while home to helping

constituents with issues.  Plus she keeps us informed by holding town hall meetings all

over the district, from Priest River to Bonners Ferry.

For most legislators, that’s more than enough; some don’t come close to staying in

touch with their constituents as much as she does.  Recently you could find her at the

Convoy of Hope as a volunteer, and quite often at the God’s Provisions Thrift Store in

Priest River, a place she volunteered at before being elected and continues right now.

Last week she spent days helping them get ready for their Christmas Bazaar; this even

included building shelves for the event and the store!  She and her husband were the

driving force behind getting an addition built to the store as well as a separate storage

building next to it, contributing labor and their own money.  This store is a vital part of a

community where many live below the poverty level.

Since you’ll never hear Heather talk about all this, I think it’s time someone did.  This

lady is a gem! Thank you for all you do, Heather!
