Wayne R. Johnson

Wayne R. Johnson, 71, of Bonners Ferry Idaho passed away November 21, 2015 in Post Falls, ID, after a courageous struggle against Hamman-Rich Syndrome.  Wayne was born June 27, 1944 in Whittier, Ca to Gunner & Caroline (Hollerbach) Johnson.  He attended Northrop Technical Institute, and served in the US Coast Guard during the Vietnam War.  After his military service, as a civilian employee of the federal government, he contributed to the security of our nation during the cold war.  

On April 15, 1972, he married Isabelle (Treiling) in Glendale, California. 

Wayne was an electronics engineer, and a farmer.  He enjoyed solving complex electronics and robotics problems, farming, riding his old mare ‘Babe’, and especially his grandson.  Prior to moving to Bonners Ferry in 2006, he resided in Arbuckle, Ca.  He is a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Bonners Ferry.

Wayne is survived by his beloved spouse Isabelle (Penny), his daughters Frances Rose Johnson (Dean Peloquin) of Seattle, Wa, and Holly Little (Cayle) of Walnut Grove, Ca, and his grandson, Colt Little.  Wayne was proceeded in death by his parents.  

A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 28, 2015 at 11 in the morning at St. Mary’s in Bonners Ferry.
