Elizabeth Serene Stephens

Elizabeth Serene Stephens (Evans) passed away at her home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at 3:15 a.m., due to heart failure while being comforted by her husband, Cecil Stephens. Serene was 73 years old. 

Serene was born in Richmond, California on March 9th, 1942. She was the 2nd child and first daughter of Jack and Elizabeth Evans. 

Serene is survived by her husband, Cecil Stephens, her brother, Harvey Evans (Leslie), sister Jenelle Thatcher and sister Debbie Dietz (Dennis), her daughter Traci LaFevers (Rick) grandkids, Carly, Annie, John and Jake, her daughter Debbie Freeman (Mike Baron), her son Randy Stephens and grandson Randall Junior, her son Todd Freeman (Stephanie) grandkids, Mikell (great grandchild, Cash), Cade, Jake and Zack. 

Serene had a great life and enjoyed it to its fullest. Touching the hearts of many people that she encountered along the way. 

Special thanks is given to Boundary County Road and Bridge (especially Renee Nelson and Terry Johnson). Also special thanks to Rob Baker and friends and family which made her the beautiful, one of a kind, pine box that she wanted to be buried in. All of these people were like family to her. 

The funeral services took place at Porthill Cemetery in Porthill, Idaho on September 25, 2015, followed by a celebration of her life at her home.
