The BFHS boys soccer lost to Emmett 5-to-2 on Oct. 23, thus eliminating the Badgers from the state tournament and ending their season.

"The season was not easy," said Coach Wayne Wilkerson, "However, to the team's credit they fought hard in every game. They pushed through injuries and adversity like no one's business." Emmett went on to win the consolation trophy. Community School, the team that defeated the Badgers in their first state game, placed second place at state. Wilkerson, however, is pleased with the season the boys had this year. "We are a young team but there's heart, determination and great attitudes. I will take those attributes anytime, anywhere," said Wilkerson, "I enjoyed being involved again in the program and consider them an extended family."

He would also like to thank everyone for their support of the team. "The parents were such a huge help from concessions; from team support to crazy fans on the sidelines," said Wilkerson, "You know who you are."
