Visiting our county fair brings back many memories. For some, it is looking at the garden entries; for others, it is the livestock. However, time and time again, we hear about the great food that is offered there. Last week, we shared a picture of Ed Nelson, Rena Nelson and Bruce Merrifield at the food court in 2002. Kimmy Nelson was able to help us identify part of the group. Thank you, Kimmy.

Your Boundary County Historical Society and Museum, 7229 Main in Bonners Ferry sponsors this column. During the summer, the museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday. To help maintain the buildings, a small entrance fee is charged at the door — $2 per person or $5 per family. There is no charge for those under 14 years old or for Boundary County Historical Society members.
