Fun in store at upcoming North Idaho State Fair
COEUR D’ALENE — The North Idaho State Fair is putting together an all-star lineup for its grandstand shows and ground attractions. Slated for Aug. 24-28, the fair will showcase entertainment and attractions from 11 different countries, according to Ty Thomas, marketing and resource development manager for Kootenai County Fairgrounds.
“In addition to the already-announced 2016 Grandstand Arena lineup featuring Sawyer Brown, and the return of the popular PRCA Xtreme Bulls, PRCA Rodeo and Demolition Derby, the North Idaho State Fair is amping up the excitement with the announcement of daily attrations to be featured at the upcoming fair,” Thomas said.
More than 10 new exhibits and scheduled performances on one of the fair’s stages will add entertainment value. The Aussie Kingdom Kangaroos exhibit will feature kangaroos, wallabies and other unique Australian wildlife. Daily stage shows, hands-on encounters and an exhibit offer plenty of excitement for all ages. Additionally, the ZuZu African Acrobats, All American Dubois Circus and the Canadian Lumberjack show will offer high-energy entertainment.
“The fair is consistently one of the best entertainment values for our community each year,” noted Dan Dugan, general manager. “I can’t think of another place where families can see kangaroos, farm animals, acrobats, circus performers and more all in one place. All of our featured attractions on the grounds are included with the price of admission, and we work hard to make these tickets affordable for everyone. Guests can even save a few dollars by buying in advance online, at the fair office or at one of the presale Jifi Stop locations in the area.”
Fairgoers will also encounter Jungle Stilt Walkers, European Children’s Theater, Kids’ Pedal Tractor Races, TerranceB Celebrity Hypnotist, Uncle Curley’s Funtastic Kids Zone and multiple stages showcasing community performers daily.
