BONNERS FERRY -- With 40 years of service and 100 years of combined knowledge it is no surprise that Boundary Tractor was voted the best place for tractor parts in Boundary County.

Cal Russell is not the first generation tractor business owner in his family. In 1929, Donald Adams, his great grandfather opened Adams Tractor. The business was a such a huge success that in 1948 his grandfather, Jack Adams, opened up a second location in Coeur d'Alene. Coeur d’Alene Tractor is where Russell began his career in the family business as parts man.

The success of both stores led to a decision to adding a third company store, Boundary Tractor. In 1976, Boundary Tractor opened and operated by the fourth generation, Russell. He has stayed true to the teachings of his great grandfather, and grandpa.

“I base my business by helping customers and earning their trust,” said Russell.

Currently, Russell’s son, Howie, is working at the Coeur d’Alene Tractor, beginning the fifth generation of the family business.
