Bike/walk trail committee to meet

BONNERS FERRY — Expanding the pedestrian and cycling routes throughout town will be the mandate of a newly formed committee in Bonners Ferry.
“The community and visitors alike will benefit from a trail system,” said Dennis Weed, director of the Boundary Economic Development Council.
Because the existing trail system is very limited, the committee would explore several possibilities for adding to it in sections to make use of the resources available, he said. The first meeting of the bike/walk trail committee is scheduled to take place today, Aug. 25, at 1 p.m. in the visitor center.
