What inspired you to start writing?

I’ve always been a writer — since grade school. That’s all I’ve ever wanted to do.

When did you have your first book published and what was it about?

My first book was published about seven years ago. It was entitled “The birth of Jaden,” but after years of marketing and research, I’ve since changed the cover and title to “Savior.” It is about a vampire that has to raise a baby and the child is the fate of the world.

How many published books do you have?

Including the novellas, more than 20, in the last seven years.

“Sound of Sirens” is finished. What now?

I’ll be working on the third book in the “Graveyard Guardians” series. There will be nine, full novels in the series. Most of my books are for young readers, but this is an adult series and not for children.

What is the series about?

It’s about Keepers and Reapers. The keepers guard the recently passed and the Reapers are natural born enemies that feed on the souls of the recently passed. This story unfolds a forbidden love affair.

In addition to writing all of these novel, you also have a book promotional company?

Yes. It’s called Storytime. I’ve been marketing books for other authors for about 2 years.

I market and build graphics for teasers and ads for books, conduct personal assistant work for other authors, run Storytime book reviews and promotions for websites, and help authors build followers on social media.

I built my own fan base organically from the beginning of my writing career and have had years of experience in marketing — years of trial and error.

With five children, how do you find the time to write?

Well, it’s a lot easier with the kids in school now — my youngest just started school this year. But a lot of late nights, organization, and learning to work with noise.

Currently, Wright is running a special promotion to get The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter Collection (1-6) in ebook format, free on all retailers. Usually this book is $3.99.
