BONNERS FERRY — The Bonners Ferry High School varsity wrestling team competed in their last dual meet of 2016 against a strong Libby team on Dec. 22.

The young Badgers team had a decent showing, with a few wrestlers winninng their matches, but they weren’t able to put up enough team points to overcome the Loggers and they lost the meet 28-47.

Ben Tadlock, wrestling in the 103 lb. class, fell to Buddy Doolin from Libby (0:35).

Tyler Beazer, wrestling in the 113 lb. class, fell to Dylan Yeadon from from Libby (0:50).

Kenny Blank, wrestling in the 120 lb. class, lost to Dylan Yeadon from Libby in a technical fall(17-1). Denton Eby, wrestling in the 126 lb. class, fell to Trey Thompson from Libby (3:08).

Slater Copley, wrestling in the 132 lb. class, fell to Reed Christensen from Libby (4:40).

Mason Eby, wrestling in the 138 lb. class, pinned Michael Diller from Libby (1:32).

Jessie Bradley, wrestling in the 152 lb. class, fell to Tim Carvey from Libby (0:26).

Jesse Sandelin, wrestling in the 160 lb. class, beat Tanner Wood from Libby my major decision (16-5).

TJ Smith, Ronney Craig and Nikolous Bertling all received byes.

The Badgers will travel to compete in the Priest River tournament on Jan. 7.
