Here is a recipe for one of my favorite pies.
I have never made this myself, but friend Larry and his wife Kaye have agreed to share her grandmother’s recipe with us. Larry’s part of he pie is to shell the pecans.
This is the original recipe, but I would change just one thing. I never use margarine, so I would change that to butter.
Ingredients
1 deep dish 9 inch unbaked pie shell
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup margarine
1 cup pecan halves beaten eggs
dash vanilla
pinch of salt
Directions
Mix all and pour into unbaked shell.
Bake @350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
