Eileen (Collins) Hodges/McInturf

Eileen (Collins) Hodges/McInturf (66) was called to be with the Lord on January 23, 2016 at Boundary Community Hospital from a long term battle of COPD.

Eileen was born September 22, 1949 in Moorhead, Minnesota to Russell B. Collins and Phyllis G. (Reiter) Collins. 

She graduated in 1967 from North Highlands High School in North Highlands, CA and attended American River College.

Mrs. Hodges/McInturf was preceded in death by her parents, Russell & Phyllis Collins; Sisters: Sherrie, Jean, Kathleen and Micki. Her husbands: Eddie Hitchcock, John Hodges, Charlie McInturf.

She devoted much of her time and energy as manager R-Place and care provider in Bonners Ferry, ID.  Eileen loved playing the slots, beading jewelry and spending time with her cats and dogs. She also enjoyed reading books and coloring with her closest granddaughter Glacier Meador.

Eileen is survived by her daughter Ingrid (VanDenBerg) Nelson, husband Robert Nelson, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; daughter Priscilla (Hitchcock) Meador, husband Gregg Meador and two grandchildren. Brothers, Russell Collins Jr. and Kevin Collins; Sister, Jane Hehn; Her husbands: Frank VanDenBerg and Dale Vincent; Extended family; Jen, Heather, Debbie, Tina, Jeanne and Camille; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; Tom and Peter with hospice care and the nursing staff whom spent time with her at the hospital for several months. Her family and friends will always love her and will miss her deeply.  At Eileen’s request no services will be held at this time.  Family will have a private service at a later date.
