| January 13, 2016 2:00 AM

Reid  Greenwood, age 57, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on December 25, 2015 at Hospice House, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, surrounded by his wife and children.   Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 11:00am in the Bonners Ferry Baptist Church in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.  Interment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery, Bonners Ferry, Idaho

He was born on September 27, 1958 in Park River, North Dakota, to Gordon and Betty Jeanne (Everson) Greenwood. In the same year, his family moved to Bottineau, ND, where he spent most of his childhood years and adulthood. On May 15, 2003 he married Jelena (Lukic) Greenwood from Serbia, Europe, where he served as an international peace keeping officer as a part of the United Nations Mission in Kosovo, through the years of 2001 and 2002. In 2003 he began working for the US Customs and Border Protection, Dept. of Homeland Security in Portal, N. Dakota, and then went on to serve in the same capacity in Vancouver, BC, Canada and worked the last 2.5 years of his life in Porthill, Idaho.

Reid became a born-again Christian in the year of 2013 and greatly rejoiced in knowing his true God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

As a step of faith in his new birth he partook of Believers’ Baptism and became a member of local Bonners Ferry Baptist Church.

If Reid could speak to you today, he would quote this verse from the Bible: “Look unto me (Jesus), and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else (Isaiah 45:22). He would want to see you repent and believe and receive eternal life with the Father in Heaven through Jesus Christ, our only Saviour and God. He would also tell you that the only way to know Jesus Christ is from the Authorized King James Version of the Bible: “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” (Gospel of John 5:39). Reid looks forward to seeing you in Heaven. There is only one way; John 14:6, “I’m the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

“Only one life, ‘twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last. “ ~ C. T. Studd

Reid is survived by his wife Jelena, son Nicolas (8) and daughter Anna (8), a brother and three sisters, nephews and nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Taylor Roy Greenwood.

Reid’s family would like to express their deepest appreciation for all the acts of kindness shown to Reid and his family over the past year.
