Bonners Ferry churches sponsor youth VBS camp

| July 21, 2016 1:00 AM

For the seventh year, four Bonners Ferry churches are sponsoring a Vacation Bible School, with this year’s camp set from Aug. 1-5.

The event is a day camp format from 9 a.m. to 3:30 pm at the United Methodist Church for those going into first grade through sixth grade. Youth between the ages of 4-5 years olds will have a shortened program from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Both groups will be served a free nutritious U.S.D.A. lunch.

The theme is “A Love That Never Ends” and will be a high energy, fun time for all kids — with six camp counselors from Twinlow Camp near Rathdrum here all week to assist in the excitement. Twinlow Camp has been sharing its day camp program in towns all over the Northwest and most churches charge from $20-$40 per camper. However the four Bonners Ferry churches are absorbing the costs so that the experience is free to all of our campers.

Registration is limited to 150 kids. Pick up and return registration forms at United Methodist, Trinity Lutheran, Springs of Living Water Free Methodist, Church of the Nazarene —or at Hair Connection in downtown Bonners Ferry — or call 267-6284.
