Edward 'Ed' Stephens, 55

Edward “Ed” Stephens, 55, passed on July 9, 2016, after battling colon cancer for three years. There will be a family dedication of Ed’s life on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at the Yaak River campgrounds. Ed was born June 8, 1961, to Earl and Tootie Stephens, in Moyie Springs, Idaho.

He graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1979 and enlisted in the Army. He served our country for nine years, spending most of the time stationed in Germany building bridges.

Ed was preceded in death by Grandpa and Grandma Schroeder, Grandpa and Grandma Stephens, Dan Stone, Christine Stone, Daniel Stephens, and Justin Stephens.

He is survived by his parents, Earl and Tootie Stephens; his wife, Val; his brothers, Mike (Bonnie) and Tim (Lenny); his sisters, Julie (John) and Patty; his stepchildren, Eric, Amy and Nicole (Jon); eight step-grandsons; and a very special young man, Steven. He also is survived by lots of nephews, nieces, great- and great-great-nephews and nieces; aunts and uncles.

Ed will be missed by many.
